Global equity indexes are pointing in opposite directions currently ahead of US unemployment claims report today at 17:30 CET after Wall Street ended mixed on Wednesday. Apple shares rose 0.32% despite reports the company’s largest individual shareholder Arthur D. Levinson sold Apple shares worth about $45.4 million between November 15 and November 19, Microsoft shares slid 0.55% on Wednesday underperforming market while  Mizuho reiterated its Outperform rating on shares of Microsoft Corporation, maintaining a $480.00 price target for the tech giant's stocks.

Forex news

The Dollar is steady currently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, gained 0.4% on Wednesday.

Both EUR/USD and GBP/USD reversed their advancing yesterday while the Office for National Statistics reported UK inflation accelerated sharply to a higher than expected 2.3% in October. Both Pound and euro are lower against the dollar currently. USD/JPY resumed its climbing while AUD/USD reversed its advancing on Wednesday with both the yen and the Australian dollar higher against the Greenback currently.

Stock Market news

The US stock index futures are mixed currently ahead of unemployment claims data at 17:30 CET today. US stocks closed mixed on Wednesday with the three main US stock benchmarks recording daily returns in a range from -0.1% to 0.3% weighed by weak results from Target.

European stock indexes futures are mixed currently after closing lower on Wednesday with auto shares leading losses. Asian stock indexes futures are mixed currently with Japan’s Nikkei leading losses.

Commodity Market news

Brent is retracing higher presently. Prices ended higher on Wednesday after the Energy Information Administration reported US crude and gasoline inventories rose by more than expected last week. The US oil benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures slid 0.7% but is higher currently. Brent crude gained 0.68% to $72.81 a barrel on Wednesday.

Gold Market News

Gold prices are extending gains presently. Spot gold rose on Wednesday: it added 0.69% to $2650.46 an ounce.
